Dr Paresh Mehta is a consultant cardiologist at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust with a specialist interest in heart failure, cardiomyopathy and cardiac rhythm management devices. He qualified from Manchester Medical School (UK) in 1999 and underwent post-graduate specialist cardiology training at Harefield, Royal Brompton and St Thomas' Hospitals.
Dr Mehta achieved a postgraduate medical doctorate (MD), awarded by University of London in 2009, for research conducted in the field of heart failure at Imperial College London and the Royal Brompton Hospital. Dr Mehta was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in 2015.
His clinical practice covers all aspects of general cardiology including hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, angina, arrhythmia, syncope and structural heart disease. He performs cardiac procedures including implanting simple and complex biventricular pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac loop recorders.
He has many peer-reviewed publications with on-going research interests in the field of heart failure, arrhythmia and cardiac rhythm management device therapy. He is actively involved in educating medical students, junior hospital doctors, general practitioners and provides clinical supervision to cardiology trainee doctors.
Dr Mehta practises independently at London Bridge Hospital and other nearby private hospitals. He works closely with Dr Chai for both private and NHS patients.
